Other General Warnings

• You have dementia-related psychosis or are an elderly patient with dementia.
• You develop new or worsening depression, anxiety, agitation, or thoughts of suicide or self-harm.
• You develop a high fever, stiff muscles, confusion, sweating, or a fast or irregular heartbeat.
• You notice uncontrollable movements of your face, tongue, or limbs.
• You have high blood sugar, high cholesterol, or experience weight gain during treatment.
• You develop signs of an infection, such as fever or a sore throat.
• You feel dizzy or faint when standing up.
• You have a history of seizures or have a condition that increases your risk of seizures.
• You are taking other medicines that may increase your risk of seizures.
• You become overheated or dehydrated.
• You have difficulty swallowing.
• You are planning to start any new medicine, including prescription, over-the-counter, or herbal medicines, while taking Nexluma.

• Store at controlled room temperature, 20 to 25 degrees Celsius (brief exposure to 15-30 degrees Celsius is permitted).
• Keep the medicine in a dry place away from direct light and moisture, and out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not use the capsules after the expiry date, and dispose of any unused medicine as advised by your pharmacist.

Interactions with other medicines

• Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements and herbal products you take, as some can interact with Nexluma capsule.
• Avoid taking it with medicines that speed up its breakdown (strong CYP3A4 inducers such as rifampicin, carbamazepine or St. John's Wort), as they can make Nexluma less effective.
• If you take medicines that slow its breakdown (CYP3A4 inhibitors, such as certain antifungals or antibiotics), your doctor may lower your dose.
• Use caution with other medicines that cause drowsiness (CNS depressants), including sedatives and alcohol, because of additive sedative effects.
• In older adults, combining Nexluma with certain antidepressants (serotonin reuptake inhibitors) may increase the risk of low blood sodium levels.
