Medical Description

Moxel Injection is a combination of medicine containing amoxicillin and cloxacillin which are antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of respiratory tract infection, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections etc. Amoxicillin works by inhibiting the formation and repair of the outer covering of bacteria which kills bacteria responsible for the infection. Cloxacillin works by inhibiting the formation of the outer covering of bacteria which kills bacteria responsible for the infection. Cloxacillin works against some bacteria which are not killed by amoxicillin. Nausea, loose motion, skin rash are some of the side effects of using this medicine. If side effects do not go away on their own or your condition doesn't improve over time then inform your doctor.

For the treatment of respiratory tract infection, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections etc.

Contraindications

If you are allergic to amoxicillin, cloxacillin or any of the penicillins or any other ingredients of Moxel Injection.

Missed a Dose

It is unlikely that the dose of this injection will be missed if you are monitored in a healthcare set up. However, if you have missed to take any dose of this injection inform your doctor or nurse immediately.

How Does It Work?

  • Amoxicillin works by inhibiting the formation and repair of the outer covering of bacteria which kills bacteria responsible for the infection.
  • Cloxacillin works by inhibiting the formation of the outer covering of bacteria which kills bacteria responsible for the infection. Cloxacillin works against some bacteria which are not killed by amoxicillin.
