Medical Description
Montina-L tablet is commonly prescribed to manage symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, watery eyes, itching, and airway blockage. It helps relieve both seasonal and year-round allergies. By targeting the root cause of allergic reactions, this medicine makes breathing easier and improves overall comfort.
This tablet is a combination of montelukast and levocetirizine. Montelukast works by reducing inflammation in the airways, while levocetirizine blocks histamine, the chemical responsible for allergy symptoms. Together, they relieve nasal congestion, control sneezing, and reduce irritation in the eyes, nose, and throat.
Montina-L tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food, and it is usually advised to take it at bedtime for best results. Do not self-adjust the dose or stop taking it suddenly without medical advice. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a pregnancy, consult your doctor before starting this medication.
While using Montina-L tablet, it is helpful to adopt certain lifestyle measures. Rinse your nose regularly to clear allergens, and try to avoid exposure to dust, pollen, pet dander, and other known triggers of your symptoms. This will enhance the effectiveness of your treatment and reduce the chances of recurrence.
Other medicines that also combine montelukast and levocetirizine include Montek Lc tablets, Montair Lc tablets, Levocet M tablets, Telekast L tablets, and Levozet M tablets. Your doctor may recommend one of these based on your condition and medical history. Always follow medical advice to ensure safe and effective allergy management.
