• Drowsiness or Sleepiness

• Severe allergic reactions such as hives, a severe rash, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
• Mood or behavioural changes like agitation, aggression, anxiety, depression, hallucinations, or thoughts of self-harm.
• Severe dizziness or fainting
• Unusual bleeding
• Bruising
• Jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes)

Other General Warnings

• You have any kidney or liver problem, or you are suffering from severe liver or kidney diseases.
• You have a history of epilepsy or seizures.
• You are taking steroids like prednisone and prednisolone.
• You are taking painkillers like aspirin (they can increase the risk of asthma).
• You are scheduled for an allergy skin test, as Montek LC can interfere with the results.
• You have a history of mental health conditions like depression.

• The usual adult dose is one Montek LC tablet per day, but your doctor will determine the exact dosage and timing that's right for your condition.
• You can take it with or without food. It is usually recommended to take the tablet in the evening, as this can help manage symptoms that are often worse at night and in the morning.
• Taking it at night also helps contain the common side effect of drowsiness.
• Swallow the Montek LC tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush, or break it.
• For the best results, take it at the same time every day to maintain a consistent level of the medicine in your body.

• Store Montek LC tablets in a cool, dry place at room temperature (below 30°C).
• Keep the medicine in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture.
• Always ensure the tablets are stored out of the reach and sight of children and pets.
• Do not use the tablets after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• The most common side effect of the Montek LC tablet is drowsiness. It's best to take your dose in the evening or at bedtime to minimize daytime sleepiness.
• Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medication, as it will make the drowsiness much worse.
• If you are taking Montek LC for a cough, remember it only works for coughs related to allergies. It will not help alleviate a cough caused by a cold or infection.
• For consistent relief, take your tablet at the same time every day.
• Keep taking Montek LC for the full duration prescribed by your doctor, even if your symptoms improve, to prevent them from coming back.

• Theophylline: Used for asthma, this medicine's effect might be slightly altered.
• Ritonavir: An antiviral medicine used for HIV, which can increase the levels of Levocetirizine in the blood.
• Medicines for Epilepsy (like Phenytoin, Phenobarbital): These can reduce the effectiveness of Montelukast.
• Rifampicin (an antibiotic): Can also reduce the effectiveness of Montelukast.
