Medical Description

Montek LC tablets are used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis. These symptoms may include a runny or stuffy nose, airway blockage, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and other allergic reactions. Montek LC contains a combination of montelukast and levocetirizine, which belong to the anti-allergic class of medicine. It works by blocking the release of chemical substances responsible for producing allergic symptoms.

You may experience headaches, dry mouth and dizziness after taking Montek LC. However, these side effects are temporary and resolve on their own. If these side effects worsen, contact your doctor immediately. Some other tablets containing montelukast and levocetirizine are Telekast L, Montina L, Odimont Lc, Montair LC and Monticope tablets.

Montek LC tablets should be taken as directed by the doctor, in the correct doses, and for the exact duration as prescribed. Swallow them with a glass of water, with or without food. Your doctor may advise you to take them, preferably at bedtime.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from before starting this medicine.
