How Does It Work?

This medicine works in the airways by inhibiting phosphodiesterase enzyme and blocking adenosine receptors, thereby relaxes the smooth muscles of airways, opens breathing passages and decreases the lung's response to irritants.

It has interactions with numerous medicines that are used to treat ulcers like Cimetidine, antivirals like Acyclovir, steroids, oral contraceptives, antibiotics like Rifampicin, Erythromycin, Ciprofloxacin, Isoniazid.

Dosage

Seek emergency medical help if you think you have used too much of this medicine. Overdose symptoms may include nausea, vomiting that does not stop, seizures, muscle cramps, fast or irregular heartbeats and mood changes.

Missed a Dose

Take medicine as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to the regular dosing schedule. Do not take extra medicine to compensate for the missed dose.
