Medical Description

Levocet M tablet is a medication used to treat allergies. It is effective in managing symptoms such as a runny nose, stuffy nose, airway blockages, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and other allergic symptoms (allergic rhinitis). The tablet contains montelukast and levocetirizine as active ingredients. This medication works by blocking the production of chemicals that cause allergy symptoms. It also reduces airway constriction and swelling, making it easier to breathe.

Allergic rhinitis is an allergic response to allergy-producing substances like pollen, dust or mould. It causes irritation in the nose/throat and symptoms like sneezing, wheezing, etc. Allergic rhinitis is a common condition that affects an individual’s quality of life and, if left untreated, may contribute to other conditions like asthma, otitis media and sinusitis.

Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration recommended by your doctor. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Your doctor may recommend that you take Levocet M tablet at bedtime, as it may cause dizziness and sleepiness. A few more tablets that also contain montelukast and levocetirizine are Montek Lc tablet, Montair Lc tablet, Montina L tablet, Telekast L tablet, and Levozet M tablet.

Do not take this medicine if allergic to any of its components. You should be cautious while driving after taking Levocet M tablet as it may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant or breastfeeding and about your complete medical history. Also, inform the doctor about all other medicines and supplements you take.
