Jalra-M 50mg/500mg tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It contains vildagliptin and metformin as active ingredients. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, vildagliptin or metformin alone are not effective.
Avoid using Jalra-M if you are allergic to it or are a type 1 diabetes patient. Take this medicine in the correct dose and for the exact duration as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid missing a dose or consuming more than that prescribed. Galvus Met tablet, Zomelis Met tablet, Vildamac M tablet, Torglip M tablet and Gliptagreat M tablet also contain vildagliptin and metformin as their active ingredients.
Jalra-M 50mg/500mg tablet should not be used for children below 18 years of age. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Along with taking Jalra-M 50mg/500mg tablet, it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle with exercise and dietary changes for better control of your blood sugar levels.
Uses
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to vildagliptin or metformin or other ingredients of Jalra-M 50mg/500mg tablet.
- If you have uncontrolled diabetes along with nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, rapid weight loss, lactic acidosis (symptoms include stomach pain, fast or rapid breathing, sleepiness).
- If you are in a diabetic coma due to a sudden rise or drop in blood sugar level.
- If you are an alcoholic or consume alcohol in excess regularly.
- If you have a pre-existing medical condition like kidney or liver disorder, heart disease, type 1 diabetes, etc.
- If you have infection or dehydration.
- If you are undergoing surgery or stress.
- If you are breastfeeding.

Directions for Use

- Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- It should be taken with or after having the meal. It would be best if you take it at the same time every day for optimal results.
