Vildanol Mf 500mg Strip Of 15 Tablets
Description
Vildanol Mf 500 is an anti-diabetic medicine used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. It combines two active components, vildagliptin and metformin, and is typically prescribed when diet, exercise, and either vildagliptin or metformin alone have been insufficient in controlling your blood sugar levels. This combination works by decreasing the amount of sugar absorbed from the intestine, reducing the sugar produced by the liver, and facilitating the entry of sugar into cells more effectively.
You must take it exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider, including the correct dosage and duration. It is crucial not to stop taking the Vildanol Mf 500 Tablet abruptly without consulting your doctor, as this could lead to a sudden and dangerous rise in your blood sugar. Uncontrolled blood sugar can cause severe complications, including damage to your kidneys, eyesight, and legs, and can increase your risk of infection.
Vildanol Mf 500 Tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water, and it is best taken with or after a meal, ideally at the same time each day for maximum benefit. There are several situations where you should avoid taking it, including if you are allergic to its components, have type 1 diabetes, uncontrolled diabetes with specific symptoms (like nausea or rapid weight loss), or if you have pre-existing severe conditions like kidney or liver disorders, heart failure, or are breastfeeding. It is not recommended for individuals under 18 years of age.
