Contraindications
- If you are allergic to Sofosbuvir, Velpatasvir or any other component of Hepcvel Tablet.
- If you are on the medicine used to treat fits such as carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin; medicine used to treat tuberculosis such as rifampicin, rifabutin.

- You have or had a history of hepatitis B infection, liver transplant or liver failure.
- You have heart disease including irregular heartbeat, slow heart rate and are on any treatment.
- You have kidney disease or diabetes.
- You are on any prescribed or non-prescribed medication.
- Hepcvel Tablet should not be used in children below 6-years of age and weighing less than 17kg.

How Does It Work?
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of acid-lowering medicine such as aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, cimetidine, famotidine, ranitidine, omeprazole, pantoprazole decreases the effect of Hepcvel.
- Hepcvel Tablet increases the effect of the medicine used to treat irregular heartbeat such as amiodarone, digoxin when coadministered.
- Hepcvel Tablet increases the effect of medications used as a blood thinner, such as dabigatran, warfarin when co-administered.
- Medicine used to treat fits such as oxcarbazepine, phenytoin decreases the effect of Hepcvel Tablet when co-administered.
- Concomitant use of Hepcvel Tablet increases the effect of antiviral medicine such as tenofovir.
- Use of other antiviral medicine such as Lopinavir, efavirenz, rilpivirine, atazanavir, darunavir, raltegravir, cobicistat may increase or decrease the effect of Hepcvel Tablet when coadministered.
- When Hepcvel Tablet is used concomitantly with herbal supplements like St. John's wort, the desired effect is decreased.
- Medicine used to lower cholesterol level such as atorvastatin, pravastatin, rosuvastatin effect is increased when Hepcvel Tablet is co-administered.
- Immunosuppressive medicine such as ciclosporin, tacrolimus effect may be increased or decreased when Hepcvel Tablet is co-administered.
- Discuss with your doctor about any other medicines, herbal preparations and supplements you are taking currently to avoid interactions.
