Cefix 200 MG Description

Cefix 200 tablet is an antibiotic medication that contains cefixime as its active ingredient. It is primarily used for treating bacterial infections in various parts of the body such as the urinary tract, lungs, throat, airways, tonsils, middle ear, and cervical/urethral infections. In addition, it is also used to treat typhoid fever. The medicine works by interfering with the synthesis of the cell wall of bacteria, which ultimately leads to the death of the bacteria that cause the infection.

Ceftas 200, Mahacef 200 and Cefolac 200 also have cefixime as their active medicine It is important to take Cefix 200 tablets as directed by your doctor, in the correct doses, and for the prescribed duration of time. Do not miss any doses or stop taking the medication on your own. Completing the full course of antibiotics is crucial, as discontinuing the treatment on your own can lead to antibiotic resistance, and the recurrence of the infection may make the medicine less effective for future infections.
