Clobator 10 MG Description
Clobator belongs to the class benzodiazepines. Its active ingredient is Clobazam. It is used to treat anxiety. It is also used in the treatment of epilepsy, especially in nonresponsive cases to other
medications. Epilepsy is a condition in which there are repeated episodes of convulsions or loss of consciousness. These convulsions may also be seen as a part of significant conditions such as Lennox Gestaut syndrome. Clobator is used in children over two years of age for the same. Anxiety is a condition characterised by increased restlessness and worry in daily activities that might be accompanied by trembling, excessive sweating or raised heart rate. The medication should be taken as recommended by your doctor. The tablet should be taken at the same time every day as this ensures the best action of the medication, decreasing the chances of relapse of symptoms significantly. It is also recommended to complete the entire course of the medication as prescribed by the treating physician. Abruptly stopping this medication can cause worsening symptoms.

Uses of Clobator 10 MG
- As per CDSCO, Clobator is primarily used to manage the following conditions:
- Acute and chronic anxiety states
- As adjunctive therapy in patients with refractory epilepsy (not responding to other medications)
Contraindications of Clobator 10 MG
- It is contraindicated in the following cases:
- If there is a history of hypersensitivity to clobazam or any of the active ingredients in this medication
- If the patient is less than two years of age
- If the patient suffers from liver or kidney disease
- If the patients have a history of substance misuse

- Constipation
- Lethargy

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Clobator 10 MG
- Take the medicine as prescribed by the physician.
- Take the medicine at the same time every day for optimal pharmacological effects of this medication.
- Swallow this medication as a whole. Do not crush, chew or break this tablet.
- Finish the entire course of this medication as prescribed by your doctor. Abrupt stoppage of the medication can cause withdrawal or side effects. Consult your doctor before stopping this medication.

- Do not drink alcohol while on this medication

Interactions with other medicines
- This medicine should not be taken with opioids or other benzodiazepines as it can cause a severe drop in respiratory rate.
- Clobator interacts with several medications that are metabolised by a different type of enzymes belonging to CYP class. This includes itraconazole, fluvoxamine, rifampicin, etc.
