Cloba Tablet is a prescription medication used as an adjunctive treatment of seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS) in patients two years or older. It is also used for the treatment o
f Anxiety disorder. Seizure(fits) is a condition caused by abnormal over excitation of the brain cells. Cloba Tablet reduces abnormal and excessive nerve cell activity, which helps relax the brain and thus helps in stabilising the seizure. Cloba Tablet contains Clobazam as the active ingredient. Clobazam is a benzodiazepine that regulates certain chemicals that help decrease the brain's electrical activity. Cloba Tablet should be taken in dosage and duration as advised by your doctor. This medicine should not be taken without consulting a doctor as there are many side effects associated with this medicine. Don’t stop taking Cloba medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it can cause clinical worsening of your condition or may lead to withdrawal symptoms.

- As per CDSCO and USFDA, Cloba Tablet is used for:
- Treatment of Seizures Associated with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome
- Treatment of Acute and chronic anxiety
Contraindications of Cloba Mt 5 MG
- If you’re allergic to any ingredient of the Cloba Tablet, i.e. Clobazam.
- If you are already taking antidepressants, anti-anxiety or sedative medications.
- If you are taking narcotic or opioid pain relievers.
- If you have myasthenia-gravis (a condition that causes muscle weakness).
- If you have acute angle glaucoma, which increases the fluid pressure in the eyes.
- If you have respiratory depression, which is a slow and steady decline in breathing.
- If you have liver or kidney diseases.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Cloba Mt 5 MG
- Take the Cloba Tablet as prescribed by the doctor.
- You can take this medicine with or without food or as prescribed.
- Take this medicine on a regular schedule, preferably at the same time every day.
- Swallow the tablet as a whole with a glass of water. Do not break/crush the tablet or chew this medicine.
- Do not take this tablet with other medications without consulting your doctor.
- Don’t stop taking this medication abruptly, as it may lead to withdrawal side effects.
- Do not consume if the package has been opened.
- Don’t exceed the dosage, even if you cannot feel its effects.
