Balokem 200mg Tablet
Description
Balokem tablet are used to treat uncomplicated urinary tract infections, such as bladder or urethral infections. The medication contains balofloxacin as an active ingredient. It kills bacteria by stopping them from making DNA, which helps clear the infection. It is important to take the medicine exactly as prescribed and complete the full course, even if you start feeling better.
Some people should be careful when using this medication, such as those with kidney problems, epilepsy, allergies to similar antibiotics, or older adults. Allergic reactions, such as rashes or swelling, kidney issues, stomach problems, dizziness, or changes in blood sugar, can occur rarely. If you experience any unusual symptoms or severe side effects, discontinue use of the medicine and contact your doctor immediately.
Balokem tablet is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, or people with a history of tendon problems linked to this type of antibiotic. Animal studies have shown that very high doses may affect growth in unborn babies; however, these effects are unlikely at the normal doses used in humans. Always tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding before starting this medicine.
You should avoid taking Balokem tablet at the same time as antacids containing magnesium or aluminium because they can reduce the effectiveness of the medicine. Also, combining it with certain painkillers or other medicines like theophylline may increase side effects or require dose adjustments. Store the tablets in a dry place at a temperature below 25°C, away from light, and out of the reach of children.
