Medical Description
Aquamide tablet is used to treat oedema (swelling due to water retention in the body) associated with various conditions, such as heart, liver, and kidney problems. It is also helpful in resistant hypertension. Aquamide works by removing excess water and electrolytes from the body. This tablet also maintains the potassium level in the blood.
Aquamide is a combination medicine containing furosemide and spironolactone as active ingredients. It should be taken as directed by the doctor. It must be taken in correct doses and for the exact duration as prescribed.
Some common side effects of this medicine are headache, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain, but not everybody experiences them. These side effects normally diminish over time. However, if you find the side effects persist, you should consult your doctor. Before using Aquamide, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, and provide details of your medical history.
