Althrocin 250 tablets are an antibiotic medicine that is used to prevent and treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. They contain erythromycin as the active ingredient. It works by inhibiting the growth of the bacteria responsible for the infection. Typically, this medicine is used for short-term treatment. However, in certain cases, you may be advised to use it for a longer duration. Take Althrocin 250 tablets as prescribed by your doctor for the exact duration. One may experience nausea, vomiting, or diarrhoea after taking this medicine. These side effects usually diminish over time; however, if you find the side effects persist, you should consult your doctor. - If you are allergic to erythromycin or other ingredients of Althrocin tablet.
- If you have heart, liver or kidney-related diseases.
- If you are taking Ergotamine and Dihydroergotamine for the treatment of migraine attacks.
- If you are on medications like Simvastatin (to lower cholesterol levels), Tolterodine (urinary related disorders), Amisulpride & Domperidone (Anti-emetic agent), Amisulpride & Pimozide (brain-related disorder), Astemizole, Mizolastine & Terfenadine (anti-allergic medicine) and Cisapride (used to treat acid reflux).

Directions for Use
- Althrocin 250 tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
- Swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- This tablet should be taken just before or with meals.
- It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results.
- You should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not stop the dosage of Althrocin 250 Tablet by yourself or the benefit would be reduced.
