Mode of Action of Zocon 0.3 %W/V
How Does It Work?
It works by killing the fungi in the eye by destroying their cell membrane, which in turn relieves discomfort, itching and irritation within the eye.
Directions for Use of Zocon 0.3 %W/V
This medicine is for external use only. Use Zocon 0.3% Eye Drops 5ml dosage and duration as advised by your doctor. Zocon 0.3% Eye Drops 5ml is administered directly into the affected eye. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper to administer the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off any extra liquid.
Always be sure to remove contacts lenses before using the drops. Close the treated eye for roughly 1 minute after applying the drops while gently applying pressure to the inside corner of the eye to prevent drainage into the tear ducts. Always finish your cycle of medication to make sure the infection is eliminated....
Interactions of Zocon 0.3 %W/V
Interactions with other medicines
- Serious interaction with terfenadine, voriconazole clarithromycin, erythromycin, ranolazine, lomitapide, donepezil, pimozide and quinidine. Never take Zocon 0.3% Eye Drops 5ml with these medicines, otherwise can result in a life-threatening heart rhythm condition (torsades de pointes)....
- Effect of contraceptive pills might be reduced. Addition of barrier form of contraception is needed.
