Vegaz Od 1.2gm Strip Of 15 Tablets
Description
Vegaz OD tablet is an anti-inflammatory medicine containing mesalazine as its active ingredient. It is mainly used to treat ulcerative colitis, a condition characterized by inflammation and ulcers in the lining of the large intestine, effectively reducing symptoms such as diarrhea, bleeding, and stomach pain. It may be prescribed for another type of bowel disease known as Crohn’s ileocolitis.
Vegaz OD works by stopping the production of certain substances in the body that can cause inflammation in the bowel and is also used to prevent the recurrence of ulcerative colitis symptoms. It is crucial to take Vegaz OD exactly as your doctor prescribes and for the entire duration recommended. Discontinuing treatment prematurely may lead to a return or worsening of your symptoms. It is generally advised to take Vegaz OD Tablet with food.
This medication is not recommended for use in children below 6 years old. Before starting Vegaz OD, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, a blockage in your stomach or intestines, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. You should also disclose all other medications you are currently taking, as some may interact with or be affected by Vegaz OD.
The most common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain or discomfort, headache, itching, flatulence, and vomiting. If these symptoms bother you, do not go away, or worsen, it is important to contact your doctor, as there may be ways to manage them. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice symptoms such as swelling of the face, tongue, throat, or lips, unusual bleeding or bruising, a rash, fever, sore throat, or excessive tiredness.
