Interactions with other medicines
- Tofisern tablet can cause adverse reactions when taken with the following medicines:
- Interaction with other antipsychotic medicines and benzodiazepines like lorazepam and diazepam can increase side effects’ risk and severity.
- Interaction with anticoagulant medicines like Acenocoumarol can increase the serum concentration of the anticoagulant, leading to increased chances of bleeding.
- Interaction with tricyclic antidepressants like Amoxapin, Amitriptyline can cause Central Nervous system Depressant effects.
Interactions with food items
- Unless your physician suggests, there is no need to avoid any particular type of food or drink when taking a Tofisern tablet. Some may suggest avoiding caffeine containing beverages like coffee, tea as they may reduce the calming effect of this medicine.
