Contraindications of Swich 100mg Dry Syp

If you are allergic to cefpodoxime then you should not take this medicine. If you have severe renal disease at stage 4 and 5, almost renal failure, then it is contraindicated. If your blood test shows abnormal liver tests, then you must not take this medicine. A severe infection like Clostridium difficile colitis is a contraindication. People suffering from intestinal infections should not take it.

This medicine passes in small quantities through human milk. One can breast feed, but if your baby experiences diarrhoea, then one must report to the doctor.


Can I drive if I have consumed the medicine?
The medicine can have few side effects and produce symptoms like confusion or decrease in alertness. If you are experiencing these, then do not drive.


Can I consume alcohol with the medicine?
There have been no reports of interaction with alcohol.
