Uses
- Shine 25 mg tablets are used to treat:
- Depression in adults
- Neuropathic pain (pain due to nerve injury or damage) in adults
- Migraine headaches in adults
- Chronic tension-type headache
Contraindications
- Do not take Shine 25 mg tablets or take with caution:
- If you’re allergic to amitriptyline or any of the ingredients present in the medicine.
- If taking medications that are classified as Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs, class of medicine used in the treatment of depression).
- If you have heart problems or recently had a heart attack.
- If you have a severe liver disease.
- If you are a child below six years of age.
Side effects
- Most of the side effects of Shine 25 mg tablets are mild and disappear once the body adjusts to the medicine. However, immediately consult a doctor if the symptoms persist or become worse.
- Nausea (feeling sick)
- Drowsiness (increased sleep)
- Feeling too tired
- Shaking hand or other body parts
- Dry mouth and changes in taste
- Sexual disturbances

Directions for Use
- Shine 25 mg tablets must be taken as per the doctor’s prescription.
- Shine 25 mg tablets can be taken with or without food.
- Swallow the Shine 25 mg tablet as a whole and do not chew, crush or break it.
- Shine 25 mg tablets must be taken at the same time as per prescription to ensure better efficacy and benefits.
- Do not change the dose or frequency of taking Shine 25 mg tablets without consulting your doctor.
- Do not stop taking Shine 25 mg tablets on your own. Continue the medication for as long as your doctor recommends.
