Uses
- According to CDSCO, Serta Tablet is used:
- In the treatment of depression
- In assisting patients with post-traumatic stress disorder
- For treatment of Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- In panic disorder, treating fear and anxiety
- Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) treatment
- In alleviating symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
Contraindications
- If you have a known allergy to Serta Tablet or other components, avoid using it.
- If you have kidney diseases.
- If you've recently had a heart attack.
- If you have liver problems.
- If you have epilepsy.
- If you have a history of heart issues.
- If you have diabetes.
- If you have narrow-angle glaucoma.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Serta Tablet, when taken with warfarin, the interaction may induce hypoprothrombinemia.
- If dexfenfluramine, fenfluramine, or sibutramine is taken along with a Serta Tablet, serotonin syndrome can occur. Serotonin syndrome is a serious reaction by medication by increasing serotonin levels in the blood.
- When Serta Tablet is used with selegiline, it leads to mania and a sudden spike up in blood pressure.
- When Serta Tablet is used with nonselective MAO inhibitors, fatal adverse effects can occur.
Interactions with food items
- Drinking grapefruit juice with Serta Tablet can amplify its sedative effects.
