S Celepra is primarily used in the treatment of mood disorders like depression. S Celepra tab has Citalopram as its main ingredient. Citalopram belongs to a class of medications known as Antidepressa

nts. The relative safety and better acceptability of Citalopram has made it first-line medication in depression, phobias, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and related disorders. This medication is well accepted in the elderly. Citalopram is preferred for mood disorders in premenstrual syndrome occurring in women. S celepra tab should be taken only on recommendation by a psychiatrist. These tablets should be taken with caution and careful observation for side effects. A regular visit to your psychiatrist is important so that your doctor may change the dose of the medicine as per need. S Celepra Tab containing Citalopram belongs to Category C pregnancy medication which means research in animals have shown adverse effects on the foetus when the mother takes the medication. Still, there have not been enough studies on humans. Therefore it’s recommended to consult your physician about your pregnancy so that your doctor prescribes the appropriate medication.

Breast Feeding

Can I take the S Celepra tab while breastfeeding?
S Celepra tab can pass into the breastmilk when a mother takes this medication. So it should be used only if advised by your doctor.


Can I drive if I’ve taken the S Celepra tab?
S Celepra tab can produce little or less sedation. If you experience drowsiness while using this medication, you may be advised not to drive. Drive with caution while you are on this medication.


Can I consume alcohol with the S Celepra Tab?
No, it is not suggested to take alcohol while you are on this medication.

Directions for Use of S Celepra 5 MG

  • Take S Celepra precisely as prescribed by your physician.
  • Don't exceed the dosage or don't miss the dose.
  • Don't discontinue the medication until the completion of the course as directed by your physician, even if the symptoms disappear.
  • Take the tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
  • Don't break this tablet or chew it.
  • It is suggested to take the tablet at the same time regularly to maintain its efficiency.
  • Don't take if the package has been opened.
