Medical Description

Rabesec DSR capsule is used to treat acid reflux disease or Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition in which acid from the stomach flows back up to the food pipe along with the stomach's contents. As symptoms of the said condition, you may experience heartburn, chest pain, burning, pain, and regurgitation of food or sour liquid due to irritation of the stomach.

Some other capsules containing rabeprazole and domperidone are Razo D capsuleRabekind DSR capsuleCyra D capsule, and Rabium DSR capsule. Rabesec DSR capsule is an anti-reflux medicine. Its active ingredients are rabeprazole and domperidone. Rabeprazole reduces stomach acid secretion, while domperidone prevents the stomach's contents from outflowing into the food pipe.

Avoid spicy and oily food while you are on this medicine. Rabesec DSR capsules should be taken at least 30 minutes before meals for the best results. Tell your doctor about any health conditions you have while he prescribes the capsule. Before using this capsule, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

  • You are taking medicines to treat HIV.
  • You have low levels of vitamin B12. This medicine is known to reduce the absorption of vitamin B12 after long term use. Supplements may be needed.
  • Taking this medicine for more than one year may increase the chances of developing bone fractures.
  • Rabesec DSR capsules should not be used in children below 12 years of age.
