Medical Description
Rabekind DSR capsule is a combination medication containing rabeprazole and domperidone, used to treat acid reflux disease. It helps relieve symptoms like heartburn, stomach pain, and irritation by reducing acid production in the stomach. This also improves the movement of food through the digestive system and prevents stomach acid from flowing back into the oesophagus, alleviating discomfort.
Rabekind DSR capsule works by combining the actions of Rabeprazole and Domperidone. Rabeprazole blocks stomach acid secretion by targeting the proton pump, while Domperidone boosts stomach and intestinal motility to prevent reflux into the food pipe.
The common side effects of Rabekind DSR capsule include headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and diarrhoea. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor immediately if you are concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine may cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or perform any tasks that require mental focus until you know how it affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can worsen your sleepiness. Lifestyle modifications, such as drinking cold milk and avoiding hot tea, coffee, spicy food, and chocolate, can help you achieve better results.
Some other capsules containing rabeprazole and domperidone are Razo D capsule, Cyra D capsule, Rabesec DSR capsule, and Rabium DSR capsule.
Take Rabekind DSR at least 30 minutes before breakfast. This capsule should not be used in children below 12 years of age. Before using the Rabekind DSR capsule, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
