• If you are allergic to chlorhexidine gluconate, metronidazole, lidocaine or any of the ingredients of Quadrajel mouth gel.
• If you have a history of mouth infections like sores, etc.
• As it is a combination of 3 different components, any condition contraindicated with any of these when taken alone should be considered contraindicated for this combination.

Other General Warnings

• You have a history of mouth ulcers or any other oral infection.
• You experience an allergic reaction after applying this gel.
• You are pregnant or a nursing woman.
• You may experience temporary staining of the teeth and tongue.
• You may notice a change of taste or a burning sensation after using this gel.

• Use this gel as directed by your doctor.
• Wash your hands before and after using this medicine.
• Apply the gel and gently rub it on to the affected areas.
• You should not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes after applying this medicine.
• It is strictly for local (topical) application only and should not be swallowed.

• Store Quadrajel mouth gel at room temperature between 20°C- 25°C, protected from moisture, sunlight and heat.
• Keep this gel away from children and pets.
• Discard the expired or gel that is no longer required properly.

• Use this gel as directed by your doctor. Apply the gel gently on the affected tooth or gum area.
• Do not swallow the gel, and avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes after using it.

How Does It Work?

• Chlorhexidine has antiseptic and antibacterial properties it works by preventing the growth of bacteria on the skin.
• Lidocaine is a local anesthetic it numbs the area where it is applied. It works by stopping nerves from sending pain signals to your brain.
• Metronidazole is an antibiotic, and it acts against bacteria and protozoa. It works by impairing the DNA of the microorganism responsible for infection and inhibits their growth.
• Collectively all these medicines work more effectively by reducing the pain and inflammation associated with ulcers.

Interactions with other medicines

• This gel is unlikely to interact with other medicines. However, you should tell your doctor if you are taking other medicines, herbal preparations or supplements.
• In particular, if you are already taking any other medicines for oral infection, oral anticoagulants like warfarin etc.
• Also, avoid the application of any other topical products after the application of this gel to avoid any possible side effects.
