Promet 10 MG Description

Promet 10mg Tablet contains metoclopramide as the active molecule. It is a prescription medication that helps to relieve nausea and vomiting after undergoing cancer treatments such as radiotherapy an

d chemotherapy. It also helps to reduce nausea and vomiting that occurs with a migraine. This medicine is available only on prescription and should be taken only at a dose and duration recommended by your doctor. Promet tablet is not recommended in children below one year. Additionally, this tablet is also not recommended if you are allergic to metoclopramide or any ingredients of this tablets. Promet tablets causes side effects such as drowsiness, tiredness, restlessness, lack of energy, depression, and uncontrolled muscle movements. If these or any other side effects persists, you must contact your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines

  • Concomitant administration of antipsychotic medications increases the severity of tardive dyskinesia, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, and extrapyramidal symptoms
  • Concomitant administration of sedatives, hypnotics, opiates, anxiolytics, and alcohol increases the Central Nervous System depression
  • Concomitant use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors increase the risk for high blood pressure
  • Concomitant use of quinidine, fluoxetine, paroxetine, and bupropion increases the blood levels of metoclopramide
  • Concomitant use of antiperistalsis antidiarrheal drugs, anticholinergic medications, and opiates decreases absorption of metoclopramide from blood
  • Concomitant use of apomorphine, bromocriptine, cabergoline, levodopa, pramipexole, ropinirole, and
