Medical Description
Novarome injection is an antibiotic medicine used to treat serious bacterial infections like pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and skin infections. It also helps patients with low white blood cell counts who may be at risk of infection. The active ingredient in Novarome injection is cefepime. This medicine works by killing bacteria by breaking down their outer wall, which they need to survive.
You should not take Novarome injection if you are allergic to it or corn products. Common side effects may include headache, pain, rash, fever, nausea, vomiting, or stomachache. This medicine is administered to you by a doctor or nurse in the hospital; you should not attempt to inject it yourself. Always inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, especially strong diuretics or certain other antibiotics, as they can interact with Novarome injection and affect your kidneys.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor. Novarome injection is not usually recommended during pregnancy, but your doctor might decide it's necessary. It can pass into breast milk, so consult your doctor for advice. Since this medicine may cause dizziness or confusion, exercise caution when driving or operating machinery.
Always tell your doctor if you have had a severe allergic reaction to similar antibiotics in the past, or if you experience seizures or severe diarrhoea during or after taking Novarome injection.
