Medical Description
Niftas 100 is an antibiotic tablet used to treat urinary tract infections. It contains nitrofurantoin, which works by killing bacteria that cause the infection. To ensure maximum effectiveness, take Niftas 100 exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It's best to take it with food or milk. Complete the full course of treatment, even if you feel better, to prevent antibiotic resistance.
Common side effects of Niftas 100 may include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea. These side effects usually subside as your body adjusts to the medication. However, if you experience any severe or persistent side effects, consult your doctor immediately. It's important to note that this medication can cause your urine to turn dark yellow or brown, which is a normal effect.
Before starting treatment with Niftas 100, inform your doctor about any existing medical conditions, such as liver, kidney, or heart problems, and any allergies to antibiotics. It's also crucial to disclose your pregnancy or breastfeeding status.
Martifur tablets, Uribid 100 tablets, Nitrobact 100 capsules and Nifuruti 100 mg tablets also have nitrofurantoin as their active ingredient.
