Nitrobact 100 MG Description

Nitrobact 100 capsule is an antibiotic medicine that is used to treat bacterial infections caused by bacteria like E-coli, or staphylococcus in the urinary tract. This antibiotic provides symptomatic relief in certain infections associated with the bladder, kidney and other parts of the urinary tract. It has nitrofurantoin as its active component that works by killing the bacteria which cause infection. It is active against the majority of urinary microorganisms. You are supposed to complete the prescribed dosage duration by your physician. If you skip the dose or do not complete the course it may cause resistance and decrease the effectiveness of immediate treatment. This medicine should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. It should be taken with a meal or food to avoid stomach upset and also to help increase absorption. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from, before starting Nitrobact 100 capsule.

Nitrobact 100 capsule is used to prevent and treat uncomplicated urinary tract infections.

Contraindications of Nitrobact 100 MG

  • If you are allergic to nitrofurantoin or any of the components present in the tablet.
  • If you are in the final stage of pregnancy.
  • If you are suffering from any kidney disease. If you are suffering from any kind of blood disorder such as porphyria.
  • If you are a patient with G6PD (glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase) deficiency. The infants are under three months of age.
