Nebicard V Strip Of 10 Capsules
Description
Nebicard V capsule is a medicine used to treat high blood pressure. It contains two medicines: valsartan and nebivolol. Valsartan works by relaxing blood vessels and making it easier for the heart to pump blood. Nebivolol also relaxes blood vessels and slows down the heart rate, which helps reduce blood pressure and the strain on your heart.
This medicine should be taken as directed by your doctor, usually with or after meals. Swallow the tablet whole with water at the same time each day. It is essential not to exceed the prescribed amount. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed one. Do not double your dose.
Some people may experience side effects such as dizziness, tiredness, low blood pressure, or high potassium levels. Others may feel drowsy, faint, or notice poor circulation in their fingers and toes. Rare side effects include irregular heartbeats or allergic reactions. If you experience unusual weakness, dizziness, or notice swelling or difficulty breathing, contact your doctor immediately.
This medicine may not be suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain heart, liver, or kidney conditions. Additionally, it can interact with other medications, particularly those used to regulate heart rhythm, treat depression, manage blood pressure, or control potassium levels. Always inform your doctor about all medicines and supplements you are taking.
You should also let your doctor know if you have asthma, diabetes, thyroid issues, or are scheduled for surgery. Store the tablets in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children. If you take too much, seek medical help right away. While taking this medicine, avoid making any sudden changes or stopping it without consulting your doctor.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- Valsartan helps lower blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. It blocks a chemical that normally makes them tighten. This makes it easier for your heart to pump blood and helps protect it after a heart attack or in heart failure....
- Nebivolol works by slowing your heart rate and relaxing your blood vessels. This helps your heart pump blood more easily and lowers the pressure in your arteries. By doing this, Nebivolol reduces the workload on your heart and helps control high blood pressure, which can protect your heart and reduce the risk of heart problems....
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Avoid using with certain antidepressants or heart rhythm drugs (like fluoxetine, paroxetine, quinidine) as they can increase Nebivolol levels and side effects.
- Do not take this medication with other beta-blockers or medications that slow the heart rate, as this can cause a dangerously low heart rate or blood pressure.
- Combining with potassium supplements, salt substitutes, or certain water pills (such as spironolactone) may raise potassium levels too high; monitor regularly.
- Painkillers like NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen) may reduce kidney function and weaken the blood pressure-lowering effect of Valsartan, especially in elderly or kidney-impaired patients.
- Avoid using with other blood pressure drugs that affect the same system (like ACE inhibitors or aliskiren), especially if you have diabetes or kidney problems, due to the risk of low blood pressure, high potassium, or kidney issues....
