Medical Description

Macprox is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine used to relieve pain and swelling in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Its active ingredient is oxaprozin.

Contraindications

If you are allergic to oxaprozin, aspirin, or another non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine, do not use it. Do not use it around coronary artery bypass surgery unless your surgeon directs you. Tell your doctor if you have had stomach bleeding, an ulcer, asthma after pain medicines, or serious kidney, liver, or heart disease.
