Astuss ct tablet contains dextromethorphan, a cough suppressant. Astuss ct tablet anti-tussive (cough reliever) medicine is generally used to treat dry cough. Coughing is a reflex action that helps c

lear the throat of irritants and mucus. Cough is acute because it usually only lasts a few weeks (two to three weeks). It can, however, become a chronic cough if it lasts longer than eight weeks. A dry cough is defined as coughing without any mucous or discharge. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. If you observe any severe side effects, contact your doctor immediately or rush to the nearest hospital. Store the medication in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
