Description

Lancidom capsule is used to relieve symptoms related to excess stomach acid and delayed digestion, such as acid reflux, heartburn, nausea, bloating, and indigestion. They are also helpful in managing conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastric and duodenal ulcers, and erosive esophagitis. The medicine should be taken before meals, preferably at the same time every day, and swallowed whole with a glass of water.

It contains domperidone and lansoprazole as the active ingredients. Domperidone helps your stomach move food through the digestive system more efficiently by blocking the action of a chemical called dopamine, which can slow down digestion. This action helps relieve nausea, vomiting, and a sense of fullness or bloating. Lansoprazole works by reducing the amount of acid your stomach produces, giving relief from acid-related discomfort and allowing the stomach and oesophagus to heal.

Some side effects that may occur include headache, dizziness, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, dry mouth, and gas. These effects are generally mild but should be discussed with a doctor if they persist or worsen. In rare cases, serious reactions like heart rhythm disturbances, especially in older adults or those with heart issues, can occur with domperidone.

This medicine may interact with other medications such as HIV drugs, antifungals, certain antibiotics, and drugs affecting heart rhythm or blood clotting. Antacids and sucralfate can interfere with the absorption of lansoprazole, so they should be taken at different times. Always inform your doctor of all the medicines, supplements, or herbal remedies you are taking to avoid harmful interactions.

Pregnant women should only take this medicine if their doctor considers it necessary. Breastfeeding is not recommended during use. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur; therefore, exercise caution when driving or operating machinery. Long-term use may require monitoring of magnesium, vitamin B12, or bone health, especially in older adults. Regular follow-ups are important to ensure continued safety and effectiveness.
