Description
Hyocimax Plus tablet is a combination of medication used to treat abdominal pain and abdominal cramps. The drug reduces the spasm of the muscle in the intestine and provides relief from the pain. The
dose of the duration of this medicine varies among individuals depending on the severity and condition it is being used for. Do not take more than the prescribed dose of medication within 24 hours. If you observe any severe symptoms or have overdosed on the medication, contact your physician immediately or rush to the nearest hospital. Store the medication in a cool and dry place. Any unused or expired medication should be discarded safely. Do not discard the medication in the household or water waste.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
Hyocimax Plus tablet contains hyoscine butylbromide, an anticholinergic agent; the medication works by relaxing the smooth muscle in the intestine and stomach, preventing abdominal cramps. The tablet also contains paracetamol which is given to treat the underlying abdominal pain by inhibiting the chemical messenger (prostaglandins) responsible for pain....
Directions for Use
- Take this medication in the dose and for the duration as advised by your doctor
- Do not chew, crush or break the tablet in half
- Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water
- Take it with or without food as advised by your doctor
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- The effect of ipratropium, atropine-like compounds can be intensified when used with this medication
- Concomitant use of this medication with dopamine antagonists such as metoclopramide can result in diminution effects on the gastrointestinal tract
- Tachycardia can be seen when this medication is administered with beta-adrenergic agents
Other general Interactions
- Avoid this medication if you are suffering from any intestinal obstruction
- Do not use this medication if you are suffering from glaucoma
- Do not use this medication if you are suffering from liver disease

Dosage
Overdose
Overdosing can result in urinary retention, dryness in the mouth, reddening of the skin, inhibition of gastrointestinal motility, and visual disturbances. Report to your doctor immediately.
