Grilinctus Syrup contains ammonium chloride, chlorpheniramine, dextromethorphan, and guaifenesin.

Dextromethorphan acts on the brain's cough centre and reduces the urge to cough.
Chlorpheniramine inhibits chemical substances like prostaglandins which cause swelling and irritation in the throat and lungs.
