er burns or cuts, damage from chemical or physical agents, removal of a foreign body, or after ear surgery. Gentacort D Eye/Ear Drop may also be used for the treatment of swelling and redness of the external ear canal, and irritation of the eyes and eyelids. It contains a combination of dexamethasone and gentamicin as active substances. Use this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor. It is meant for external use in the eyes/ears and should not be ingested. Shake well before use. Before using Gentacort D Eye/Ear Drop, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, breastfeeding, and about your complete medical history. - It is also used for the prevention of ear infections after burns or cuts, damage from chemical or physical agents, removal of a foreign body, or after ear surgery.
- Gentacort D Eye/Ear Drop may also be used to treat swelling and redness of the external ear canal, and irritation of the eyes and eyelids.
Contraindications of Genta Cort D Eye Ear Drops
- If you are allergic to dexamethasone, gentamicin, other aminoglycosides, or any other ingredient of Gentacort D Eye/Ear Drop.
- If you have a condition called myasthenia gravis.
- If you have holes in your eardrum.
- If you have viral infections of the eye or fungal diseases of the ear.
- If you are using this medicine in children for a long period.

- Gentacort D Eye/Ear Drop should be used exactly as directed by your doctor.
- Wash your hands before and after using the medicine.
- Instil 2-3 drops of the medicine in the affected ear/eye.
- Avoid touching the dropper with your hands, eye, or ear. The dropper must be kept clean to prevent infections.
- Wipe any excess liquid with the help of a clean tissue.
- Use the exact number of drops recommended.
- If you have been prescribed any other eye/ear drops or ointments, keep an interval of at least 5 minutes between both medicines.
