Feburic 40 MG Description
Feburic 40mg tablet is used to treat high levels of uric acid in the body. It can lead to a condition known as hyperuricaemia (also called gout). Gouty arthritis, a condition where uric acid level in
creases more than normal. It contains febuxostat as the active component that belongs to the anti-gout class of medicine. It works by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for the production of uric acid, this reduces the amount of uric acid and relieves symptoms of gout such as severe pain and swelling of the joint. Feburic 40mg tablet should not be used in children below 18 years of age. Sudden joint pain, headache, nausea, diarrhoea are the most common side effect of this medicine. If these side effects do not resolve within a short duration or if it gets worsened, reach out to the nearest hospital or clinic. Before starting this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

- Especially if you are taking immunosuppressants, as they can cause serious harm, hence should not be used concomitantly.
- The effect of Feburic 40mg tablet is altered when used concomitantly with antacids such as aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide. Thus, it should have an interval of a minimum of 1 hour between them....
