Emfozen K Eye Drop contain a combination of ketorolac and moxifloxacin as active ingredient. Ketorolac belongs to a group of medicines known as NSAIDs, whereas Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic. Emfozen
K is used to reduce inflammation in the eyes following eye surgery. You need to use this medicine as advised by the doctor. Contraindications of Emfozen K Eye Drop 5ml
- If you are allergic to Ketorolac or Moxifloxacin or any other ingredients of Emfozen K Eye Drop.
- If you are allergic to any other NSAIDs (painkiller medicines) like aspirin, ibuprofen, ketoprofen, diclofenac, etc.
- If you are allergic to any other quinolones like ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin, levofloxacin, etc.

- Itching

- Burning or stinging in the eyes
- Swelling/puffiness of the eyes or eyelid
- Eye discomfort

- You have any other eye problems like corneal damage, dry eye syndrome, vision or sight disturbances, etc.
- You develop any superinfection

- You had any eye surgery.
- You have any bleeding problems, stomach ulcer or you bruise easily.
- You need to avoid wearing contact lenses after cataract surgery.
- You experience irritation, pain, redness of the eye and changes in vision occur or your condition worsens after using Emfozen K Eye Drop, you may need to discontinue the treatment.
- There may be a possibility that you experience slow or delayed healing.
- Emfozen K Eye Drop is not recommended for use in children below 2 years, as no safety data is available.

How Does It Work?
- Emfozen K Eye Drop work by the combined effect of its components - Ketorolac and Moxifloxacin.
- Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), that works by blocking the production of certain natural substances, known as prostaglandins, in the body which are responsible for pain, swelling and redness in the eye....
- Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic; it prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thus stopping the growth of bacteria.
Directions for Use of Emfozen K Eye Drop 5ml
- Use Emfozen K Eye Drop as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- Follow all the directions carefully and do not miss any doses.
- Read the instructions on the label before usage.
- Shake well before use.
- Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying.
- Use the exact number of drops recommended.
- After instilling the drops, close your eyes for 2-3 minutes; do not blink or squeeze.
- Avoid touching your eyes with the dropper, it must be kept clean.
- Wipe any excess liquid from your face with a napkin or tissue.
- If you are prescribed any other eye drops, you need to keep an interval of at least 5 minutes between both the drops.
Interactions of Emfozen K Eye Drop 5ml
Interactions with other medicines
- You should always tell the doctor if you are taking any other medicines, herbal preparation and supplements to avoid any interaction.
- Concomitant use of Emfozen K Eye Drop along with topical NSAIDs like diclofenac and steroids like hydrocortisone, mometasone should be used with caution as it may slow or delay healing.
- If you use another eye drop product concomitantly with Emfozen K Eye Drop, keep a minimum gap of 15 minutes between the application of both the medicines.
Storage and disposal of Emfozen K Eye Drop 5ml
- Store Emfozen K Eye Drop below 30°C in a clean and dry place.
- Keep the medicine away from children and pets.
- You must not use the eye drops once the expiry date has passed and should discard it properly.
- You need to discard the medicine 4 weeks from first opening it.
- Do not use the eye drops if you notice the contents are of a different colour in any way or if particles are present.
