• Ecosprin Gold 20 capsule is used to reduce the risk of blood clot formation thus preventing heart attack, stroke, severe chest pain.
• It is also used to lower the lipid or cholesterol in the blood when a low-fat diet and lifestyle changes did not work.

• If you are allergic to atorvastatin, clopidogrel, acetylsalicylic acid or any other ingredients of Ecosprin Gold 20 capsule.
• If you are allergic to similar medicines, such as other salicylates or NSAIDs.
• If you have any kind of medical condition like liver or kidney problems, blood clotting problems, heart-related disorders, gout, etc.
• If you are already taking medicines for hepatitis, arthritis or cancer.
• If you notice any unexplained abnormal blood tests for liver function.
• If you are not using proper contraception methods.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Easy bruising
• Bleeding from the gums or nose
• Prolonged bleeding from small cuts
• Indigestion or abdominal pain
• Muscle pain or weakness
• Diarrhoea
• Headache
• Rash or itching
• Raised liver enzymes
• Blood in the urine or stools

Other General Warnings

• You develop unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, particularly with fever or dark urine.
• You have a stomach or duodenal ulcer or previous gastrointestinal bleeding.
• You have liver or kidney disease.
• You take omeprazole or esomeprazole, which reduces clopidogrel's effect.
• You are due for any surgery, dental extraction or invasive procedure.
• You have a fall or blow to the head, which needs assessment even if you feel well.
• You develop a fever with unexplained bruising, weakness, or confusion, which needs urgent attention.
• You have an underactive thyroid or a family history of muscle disorders.
• You are of childbearing age and not using reliable contraception.
• You must not stop this medicine on your own, especially within the period your cardiologist specified after a stent.

• Take Ecosprin Gold 20 capsule as a whole with a sufficient amount of water, with or without food.
• You should take this medicine regularly, at the same time and without fail as directed by your doctor.
• You should not consume it more than the stated recommended daily dose.

• Store Ecosprin Gold 20 capsules below 25°C in a clean and dry place, protected from moisture, sunlight and heat.
• Keep the medicine away from children and pets.
• You should not flush this medicine in the toilet or pour them into the drain. You need to properly discard this medicine when it is expired or no longer needed.

• For optimal results, you should take it at a fixed time.
• It is recommended that, in addition to taking Ecosprin Gold 20mg capsule on time, you make certain lifestyle changes. Among these changes are eating a low-fat, low-salt diet, maintaining a healthy weight, and exercising for 30 minutes daily.
• Quit smoking, and avoid alcohol consumption.
• Avoid meals that are fried, high in fat, or junk food.
• Ecosprin Gold 20mg capsule is not recommended if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding.
• Headache, diarrhoea, indigestion, inflammation of the nasal passages, and nausea/vomiting may occur in some individuals with the use of Ecosprin Gold 20mg capsule. Inform your doctor if these effects bother you or do not go away.
• It is not recommended to consume a lot of grapefruit juice.

Overdose

• Symptoms of an overdose may include a headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, ringing in the ears, hearing problems, confusion.
• If you experience any of the symptoms or think you have taken too much of Ecosprin Gold 20 capsule, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital

Missed a Dose

• Missing a dose of Ecosprin Gold 20 capsule may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
• If you have missed taking any dose of this medicine take it as soon as you remember.
• If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
• Do not take a double dose of this medicine to compensate for the missed one.

Interactions with other medicines

• Certain medicines can interfere with the action of Ecosprin Gold 20 capsule or cap Ecosprin Gold itself can affect the action of other medicines taken at the same time.
• Always inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, that includes all prescribed or non-prescribed herbal medicines, dietary supplements as well as other treatment if you are taking for any disorders.
• In particular, if you are taking medicines for heartburn (like omeprazole, esomeprazole), medicines for brain and mood-related disorders, anticoagulants like warfarin, anti-diabetic medicines, anti-gout medicines like probenecid, etc.
• Other medicines that should be used with caution are antibiotics like clarithromycin, immunosuppressants, antifungal medicines like ketoconazole, anti-HIV medicines, etc.
• Anti-cancer medicines such as methotrexate, should not be used along with this medicine as it may be harmful.

Interactions with food items

• Take Ecosprin Gold 20 Capsule with or just after food, with a full glass of water, to reduce stomach irritation caused by aspirin.
• Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice. They raise atorvastatin levels, increase the risk of muscle damage, and may also interfere with clopidogrel activation.
• Limit or avoid alcohol. On two antiplatelet medicines, it substantially raises the risk of stomach bleeding, and it adds to the liver and muscle risks from the statin.
• Diet remains central to lowering cholesterol: reduce fried food, ghee, butter, full-fat dairy, red meat, and bakery items, and increase oats, pulses, nuts, fruit, vegetables, and fish.
• Avoid ginkgo, high-dose garlic, ginger, turmeric, fish oil, and vitamin E supplements, as they further reduce platelet function. Culinary amounts in cooking are not a concern.
• Do not take red yeast rice supplements, which contain a natural statin and increase the risk of muscle damage.
