The mode of action of the Dotin tablet increases serotonin (a chemical messenger in the brain). Dotin tablets also help stabilise the chemical substances and lower the symptoms. This medicine is not addictive, but weight gain, confusion, increased heart rate are some of the side effects of the Dotin tablet. It is important to follow your doctor's direction for using the Dotin tablet, as it has a relatively high toxicity in overdose. Do not stop using Dotin medicine suddenly, as it can cause withdrawal symptoms like sweating, tremors and cold. Dotin tablets are not recommended for children and adolescents below 18 years of age.   • If you have a rare blood-related illness known as porphyria.
  • If you have previously been diagnosed with bipolar disorder or mania
  • If you have severe liver impairment
  • If you are currently expecting or planning for a pregnancy.
  • If you are breastfeeding.
  • If you have closed-angle glaucoma, a severe eye condition
