Deplam S 5 MG Description

Deplam S Tablet is a prescription medication meant for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) and panic disorder associated with or without agoraphobia (fear of crowded or open places). Man

aging psychological stress and trauma that can trigger such mood disorders is the main use of Deplam S tablets. It contains Escitalopram as its main ingredient. It is an antidepressant medicine. The mode of action of Deplam S tablets is by increasing a chemical substance in the brain, responsible for uplifting the mood, high energy and reducing nervousness. These tablets help the mood by reducing the excess activity of nerves in the brain. They also produce a calming effect. Directions for use of Deplam S tablets should be followed correctly. The dose of this medicine should be carefully monitored, especially in older patients with liver and kidney illnesses. This medicine can cause physical dependency if used for an extended period. It is essential to inform the doctor of the complete medical history and current treatments; many medications interact with Deplam S tablets and cause side effects.

As per CDSCO, the Deplam S tablet is used in
The treatment of symptoms associated with major depressive disorders
Managing mood disorders such as Panic disorders, with or without agoraphobia (fear of open and crowded places).

Contraindications of Deplam S 5 MG

If you have a known hypersensitivity reaction to any of the components of the Deplam S tablet.
If you have a previous history of alcohol or substance abuse, mental health disorder, depression, etc.
If you're pregnant, planning for a pregnancy or currently nursing.
If you're already using certain anti-anxiety medicines or sedatives.
If you have to drive after taking this tablet; it can cause slow reflexes, impairing your driving ability.
If you've acute angle glaucoma (an eye condition with increased fluid pressure).
If you've liver disease.
If you've a seizure disorder and are on anti-seizure medication.
