Medical Description
Coversyl tablet is a medication used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It contains a combination of perindopril and amlodipine as active substances and is used for the management of high blood pressure. It is important to take Coversyl tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medication on your own. Before starting Coversyl tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and provide your complete medical history. If you become pregnant during treatment with this medication, discontinue its use as soon as possible.

Contraindications of COVERSYL AM 4/5MG STRIP OF 10 TABLETS
- If you are allergic to perindopril, amlodipine, other ACE inhibitors, or any other ingredient of Coversyl tablet.
- If you have a history of swelling under the skin (angioedema) with or without the use of medicines called ACE inhibitors.
- If you have diabetes and are taking a medicine that contains Aliskiren.

- You are pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant.
- You are taking medicines called ACE inhibitors like captopril, and enalapril and develop symptoms like swelling of the face, legs, hands, lips, tongue, glottis, and larynx.
- You have narrowing or blockage of the blood vessels that supply blood to the heart (coronary artery disease).
- You develop heart-related chest pain after taking this medicine.
- You have low fluid or salt due to severe diarrhoea/vomiting, low dietary salt intake, dialysis, or prolonged use of diuretics.
- You have a narrowing of the aortic valve of the heart (aortic stenosis).
- You are scheduled for surgery with anaesthesia.
- You have kidney disorders.
- You have diabetes.
- You are taking medicines called potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements, and/or potassium-containing salt substitutes.

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Coversyl tablet works, or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Inform your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Particular care should be taken if you are taking medicines for treating fluid accumulation (diuretics), mental disorders (lithium), abnormal/high cholesterol (simvastatin), preventing organ rejection after a transplant (cyclosporine), abnormal/irregular heartbeat (diltiazem), fungal infections (itraconazole)....
- There is a risk of increased blood potassium levels when Coversyl AM 8/5 taCoversyl tabletblet is used along with potassium-sparing diuretics (spironolactone, amiloride), potassium supplements, or other medicines that can increase serum potassium (indomethacin, heparin, cyclosporine)....
- Nitritoid reactions (redness of the face, nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure) may occur when this medicine is used with injectable gold (used to treat arthritis symptoms).
- When Coversyl tablet is used together with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (used for treating pain, redness, and swelling), there is a risk of kidney damage, especially in the elderly who have low fluid volume or in individuals with kidney disorders....
