Pregnancy

Breast Feeding

Do not take this medicine while breastfeeding. If you have consumed this medicine, immediately stop breastfeeding your baby; discard your breastmilk while using the medicine up until two days post-termination of treatment.

Driving

You can drive if you are not experiencing dizziness after consuming this medicine.

Alcohol

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if
You have any liver, kidney or heart problems, your blood potassium and magnesium levels are low, you are on migraine medicines like ergotamine, or you are having myasthenia gravis.

How Does It Work?

The antibiotic composition of Atm 200mg Susp inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to specific sites of the bacterial nucleus and thus prevents survival and growth of bacteria.

Interactions of Atm 200mg Susp

Interactions with other medicines

  • Atm 200mg Susp interacts with antacids and thus must be taken one hour prior or two hrs post-consumption of an antacid
  • The medicine interacts with blood thinners such as enoxaprin, fondaparinux, heparin and warfarin and also interacts with inhibitors of blood clots like thrombin, bivalirudin and dalteparin
  • The suspension should not be taken along with terfenadine as it might cause serious heart problems or with medicines such as zidovudine or nelfinavir (used to treat HIV infection), rifabutin (used to treat tuberculosis), quinidine (used to treat heart rhythm problems) or with cyclosporin (used post organ transplant)
