Medical Description

Anafortan injection is used to treat stomach pain, cramps and discomforts associated with conditions similar to an obstruction of the intestine, urinary tract, the bile duct or menstrual cramps, etc. It contains camylofin as its active ingredient, which works by relaxing the stomach and intestinal muscles, thus stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). Anafortan injection will be given to you by a doctor or nurse at the hospital setting or a clinic. Inform your doctor about all the known medical conditions, medical and medication history as well as all the medicines you are taking, including herbal supplements.

Uses

Anafortan injection is used to treat severe stomach pain, cramps, etc. which are associated with different conditions like menstrual cramps, obstruction of the intestine, urinary tract, bile duct, etc.

Contraindications

  • If you are allergic to camylofin or any other ingredients of Anafortan injection.
  • If you have narrow-angle glaucoma.
  • If you have difficulty in passing urine or completely emptying the bladder.
  • If you have a fast heart rate.
  • If you suffer from any bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract.
  • If you have an enlarged prostate.
  • If you have a rare hereditary disease called porphyria.
