Ambiz Tablet is a hypnotic medication. It contains zolpidem as the active substance. Ambiz Tablet is used in the treatment of short-term sleep problems in adults. It works by acting on your brain to

elp you sleep. Take Ambiz Tablet in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting Ambiz Tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.

  • Ambiz Tablet is used in the treatment of short-term sleep problems in adults like:

Contraindications of Ambiz Tablets

  • If you are allergic to zolpidem or any of the other ingredients of Ambiz Tablet.
  • If you have a condition called sleep apnoea, where you stop breathing for short periods at night.
  • If you have a condition called myasthenia gravis that causes severe muscle weakness.
  • If you have breathing difficulties.
  • If you have liver problems.
  • If you have a mental illness (psychosis).
  • If you are under the age of 18.

Pregnancy

Breast Feeding

Driving

Ambiz Tablet may cause dizziness, sleepiness, blurred/double vision and reduced alertness. If you experience any such effects after taking this medicine that may affect your ability to drive safely, it is advised to avoid driving.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Ambiz Tablets?
A:
No, alcohol should not be consumed while on treatment with Ambiz Tablet as it may increase the side effects of this medicine, like sleepiness.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if
  • You have a history of dependence on alcohol or drug/illicit substance.
  • You have liver or lung disorders.
  • You have depression or have a history of any other mental illness.
  • You have recently taken zolpidem or other similar medicines for more than four weeks.
  • You develop suicidal thoughts after taking this medicine.
  • You are taking other medicines like central nervous system depressants or other medicines that increase zolpidem in your blood.
