Medical Description
Althrocin 500 is an antibiotic used to treat infections caused by bacteria. It is effective against infections in various parts of the body, including the lungs, airways, throat, ears, intestines, reproductive tract, urinary tract, and skin. The active ingredient in Althrocin is erythromycin, which works by inhibiting bacterial growth, thereby preventing the spread of infection.
It is important to take Althrocin 500 exactly as prescribed by your doctor and for the entire duration of the treatment. To minimize the risk of stomach upset, take the tablet with or after food. Always complete the full course of the prescribed treatment, as failing to do so may lead to ineffective treatment, a higher chance of re-infection, or the development of antibiotic resistance.
While using Althrocin 500, you may experience side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and headache. If these side effects persist or if your condition worsens, you should contact your doctor immediately.
