Medical Description
Allercet-DC tablet is a combination medicine containing cetirizine and phenylephrine. Cetirizine has anti allergic properties and phenylephrine is a decongestant. Allercet-DC tablet is used to treat and manage the symptoms of common cold, allergy, hay fever, pollen allergy, and dust allergy. It is also used to provide relief from runny nose, sneezing, itching of the eyes, nose or throat, red eyes, and water from the eyes. It also decreases nasal congestion. Take this medicine as directed by your doctor in the exact dose and duration. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor about your detailed medical history including all the medicines you are currently taking. Also inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
Uses
- Allercet-DC tablet is used for the treatment and management of common cold, allergy, hay fever, dust and pollen allergy.
- It is also used to provide relief from runny nose, sneezing, itching of the eyes, nose or throat, red eyes, and water from the eyes.
- It also decreases blockage of the nose.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to cetirizine, phenylephrine, or any of the other ingredients of Allercet-DC tablet.
- If you have kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, eye condition called angle-closure glaucoma, hyperactive thyroid, enlarged prostate gland, or pheochromocytoma (a tumor of the adrenal gland).
- If you are taking any brain-related medicines like monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) or have taken it within 14 days. If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor.

Directions for Use

- Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water.
- Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- Do not consume more than the dose prescribed by your doctor.
