Zulpride Tablet is a prescription medicine. It belongs to the category of medicines called antipsychotics. The main ingredient in it is amisulpride. It is used to treat the disease of schizophrenia and manage the symptoms of confusion, hallucinations, or delusions. It is advised to take this medicine at the same time every day. Always be regular with the dosing schedule and maintain consistency with the timings. Take this medicine with or without food, but as prescribed and suggested by your doctor. One must always complete the entire course of the medication and not abruptly leave the medicine between its courses, even if the person starts to feel better after some time. Zulpride Tablet has side effects, like nausea, dryness in the mouth (Xerostomia), dizziness, inability to focus, etc. These symptoms usually go away after some time, but contact your doctor if they persist longer.

  • Antibiotics like erythromycin can cause abnormal body temperature.
  • Degarelix; medicines used to treat a type of cancer; interaction between the two medicines can cause adverse reactions like vomiting, convulsions, etc.
  • Antifungal medicines like fluconazole; side effects of Zulpride Tablet can increase when taken simultaneously with antifungal medicines.
  • Medicines for abnormal heart rate (arrhythmia) like quinidine; interactions between these two medicines can cause a decrease in regular heart rate, which can even lead to death in extreme cases.
  • Antidepressant medicines like escitalopram; interactions can increase in side effects of this medicine. The person may lose the ability to focus and even be unable to perform everyday tasks efficiently.
  • If you are taking any herbal medicine, vitamins, or supplements, kindly inform your doctor to prevent any adverse effects.

  • Always monitor your caffeine intake. This medicine produces a soothing effect on the brain, while caffeine stimulates brain activity. Eat a healthy and balanced diet full of green leafy vegetables, rich in vitamins and minerals. Avoid cheesy and fried foods to maintain a good healthy body.
