- Zolipax 0.25vmg Tablets are used in,
- Treatment of anxiety disorder
- Treatment of symptoms associated with depression
- Managing emotions like fear and phobia in panic disorder
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to alprazolam or any of the inactive components of Zolipax Tabs, you should not use this medication.
- If you have narrow-angle glaucoma. The usage of Zolipax 0.25 mg may induce an increase in intraocular pressure, exacerbating the symptoms.
- If you have been diagnosed with myasthenia gravis.
- If you have preexisting CNS depression.
- If you have active liver problems.
- If you have active acute pulmonary insufficiency.

- You have depression, especially if suicidal tendencies are present. Zolipax 0.25 mg Tablet should be used with caution.
- You experience a drop in blood pressure. You may experience this if you take more than the recommended dose of Zoilpax 0.25 mg.
- You are above 60 years of age. You may experience drowsiness and excess weakness after taking Zolipax Tablet.
- You have a history of narcotic addiction. There is a high risk of withdrawal symptoms like seizures.
- You conceive during the course of Zolipax 0.25mg Tablet or are planning a pregnancy.
Directions for Use
- Strictly adhere to the doctor's instructions when taking the Zolipax 0.25 mg Tablet.
- Take Zolipax Tablet as a whole with a glass of water, Do not break, crush, or chew the tablet, as this may reduce its efficacy.
- For optimal pharmacological effects, take the recommended dose at a fixed time every day for the prescribed duration.
- Zolipax Tabet should be taken after a snack or a meal.
- Do not alter the dose of Zolipax Tabs unless advised by the doctor.
- Do not discontinue Zolipax Tabs abruptly, even if you feel better.

Interactions with other medicines
- To avoid side effects associated with medicine interactions, it is important to inform the doctor about all medicines and health supplements you are currently taking.
- Zolipax 0.25 mg Tablets are known to interact with the following medicines:
- Avoid using alprazolam with cetirizine or levocetirizine. The interaction of these medications can increase the severity of side effects.
- Antifungals containing azoles, such as ketoconazole and itraconazole, should be avoided while taking alprazolam since they can produce greater sedation and ECG abnormalities.
- If antihypertensives are taken with Zolipax, you may suffer hypotensive symptoms such as dizziness and lightheadedness. Blood pressure should be checked on a regular basis.
- Avoid using alprazolam in conjunction with metoclopramide.
Interactions with food items
- Consuming coffee, tea, or other caffeine-containing products may reduce the efficacy of Zolam Tablets to suppress brain activity. Caffeine stimulates the brain, whereas Zolipax 0.25 mg Tablet relaxes it. Avoid drinking these before and after taking the Zolipax 0.25 mg Tablet.
