This tablet should be taken as per the instructions given by your doctor
It should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water
Do not break, chew or crush the tablet

Interactions of Twintel 40mg Tablet

Interactions with other medicines

Potassium supplements or high potassium-containing foods should be avoided during intake of Twintel tablet
Aliskiren and telmisartan should not be taken together in patients with diabetes and kidney diseases
Twintel tablets should not be taken with other medications that affect the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system
Using captopril with telmisartan increases the risk of side effects
Lithium intoxication may result due to lithium telmisartan interaction as it may significantly enhance blood levels of lithium
Co-administration of corticosteroids can reduce the antihypertensive effect of telmisartan
Concomitant use of other antihypertensive medicinal products can increase the blood pressure-lowering effect
Prior treatment with diuretics may result in volume depletion, increasing the risk of hypotension
NSAIDs, when given with this tablet, may reduce the antihypertensive effect of angiotensin II receptor antagonists
